This project was a quick Phase I only ideation project for a local SoCal company wanting to refresh their snorkel fins in an eye popping modern way.

Project Overview

-Needs to be refined, not overly designed, simple and high-end

-Design will be transferred into 3 Adult sizes

-Needs be open heel design

-Needs to have adjustable strap with unique clasping mechanism

-Design of strap should explore grasping area for user to pull on and off of heel

-Duel Injection Molded process to be used with rigid plastic and soft flexible elastomer material

as a basis for fin bending/propulsion

-Area of importance - strap adjustment, strap side clipping mechanism, strong spline in

conjunction with softer elastomer material

-Look at Style/ Fit, Graphic Design, Pattern of Visual POP of Mares fins

-Look at texture on bottom of fin for standing on slippery surfaces
